Tai Chi for Arthritis
Date: Mondays and Wednesdays in July

Details: Tai Chi, pronounced, "tie chee," is a gentle exercise program composed of slow, deliberate movements, meditation and deep breathing. Tai Chi is fun, easy to learn, and improves your overall wellbeing and quality of life.  Open to the public, the class meets each Monday and Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. at the Pond, near the picnic pavilion.  What a great way to start your day! Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program
Date: Mondays and Thursdays in July
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Location: Exercise Room in the Daily Life Center
Details: Lowman offers the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program to help individuals with range of motion, flexibility, and pain issues associated with Arthritis. This beneficial class is held on Mondays and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. and is open to the public. Trip to Columbia Museum of Art
Date: Thursday July 10
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Location: Depart from Daily Life Center

Trip to Isle of Palms Beach
Date:  Monday July 21
Time:  8:30 a.m.
Location: Depart from Daily Life Center
Details: Beach Trip! Join us for a relaxing and refreshing day on the beach. We will bring box lunches to enjoy on the beach along with tents for shade and comfort. Please bring a chair, sunscreen, towel, and other personal items. The park will have showers, changing rooms, and restrooms available. No trip to the Isle of Palms is complete without a quick stop at Ben and Jerry’ Ice Cream. We invite the public to join us on this day trip. Book Club

Details: This month our Book Club is reading The Coldest Winter: America and the Korean War by author David Halberstam. We will be reading this book during the months of June and July. We welcome residents and the local community to join us for a lively and intellectually stimulating discussion – and lots of fun, of course.
